Mandatory Conditions
- Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.
In this condition, permitted hours means:
a. On weekdays, other than Christmas Day, Good Friday or New Year’s Eve, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
b. On Sundays, other than Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve, 12 noon to 10.30 p.m.
c. On Good Friday, 12 noon to 10.30 p.m.
d. On Christmas Day, 12 noon to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10.30 p.m.
e. On New Year’s Eve, except on a Sunday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
f. On New Year’s Eve on a Sunday, 12 noon to 10.30 p.m
g. On New Year’s Eve from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on the following day, which would be 11.00 a.m. if New Year’s Day falls on a weekday or 12 noon if a Sunday.
- The restrictions on times that this Licence authorises the sale by retail of alcohol, do not prohibit:
a. during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of the alcohol from the premises unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
b. consumption of the alcohol on the premises or the taking of sale or supply of alcohol to any person residing in the licensed premises;
c. the ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the despatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered;
d. the sale of alcohol to a trader or club for the purposes of the trade or club;
e. the sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty’s naval, military or air forces;
f. the taking of alcohol from the premises by a person residing there; or
g. the supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises to any private friends of a person residing there who are bona fide entertained by him at his own expense, or the consumption of alcohol by persons so supplied; or
h. the supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises to persons employed there for the purposes of the business carried on by the holder of the licence, or the consumption of liquor so supplied, if the liquor is supplied at the expense of their employer or of the person carrying on or in charge of the business on the premises.
- Every retail sale or supply of alcohol made under this licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
- No supply of alcohol may be made under this licence:
a. At a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of it or,
b. At a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.
Conditions
Children's certificate granted subject to the following : Mondays to Thursdays from 12 noon until 2pm and 5.30 pm to 8.00pm. Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 2pm only. Meals and beverages other than intoxicating liquor shall be available for consumption in the area edged in orange on the designated plan to which this certificate relates at all times when the certificate is operational. Strict compliance with the requirements of any environmental health, hygiene and fire precautions.
Tables are provided of sufficient size and suitable design to enable substantial meals to be eaten from them.
Adequate signs both outside the premises (subject to any planning consents) and within the premises clearly identify to customers the approved children’s area are provided.
At all times there are maintained such number of high chairs and booster seats available for use by young children as the committee upon inspection of the premises may deem adequate having regard to the size of the premises.
Accompanying adults are able to see the children at all times.
All heating appliances (open fires, gas heaters, electric heaters, electric fires etc) are adequately guarded.
No smoking is permitted within the area, patched in pink on the plan.
No prams or buggies block thoroughfares and exit routes.
No dart boards or snooker or pool tables ate situated within the area.
Toilets suitable in size, condition and facilities to accommodate children are provided.
Adequate nappy changing facilities are provided for the benefit of young children, which facilities can be used by accompanying adults of either sex. The committee would not approve a proposal whereby such children of relevant age would not be allowed into the premises.
Volume of sound emitted from any Juke box or any background music is capable of control in the event that customers find it unacceptable loud.
In an area covered by the children’s certificate (as shown on the plan attached to the licence) meals and non-alcoholic beverages must be available for sale for consumption in that area until 9pm.
